SYS Advisors was founded by Su Yon Sullivan, a seasoned executive recruiter who previously worked at Crown Advisors, Whiterock and DS Wolf. Having worked at different firms has given her varied and invaluable experience which has allowed her to identify “best practices” and refine her own approach. In addition to her experience as a senior retained executive search consultant, Su Yon has Wall Street industry managerial experience honed when she was an MD and Head of Asian Equity Sales at Nomura and an equity analyst at Furman Selz (now ING). This gives first-hand perspective on the hiring needs of investment management and financial services firms. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Tufts University. Su Yon is based in Greenwich, CT and maintains offices in Greenwich and Manhattan.

Unlike many of the larger search firms that take a “factory” approach, Su Yon personally handles all aspects of the search and does not delegate aspects to inexperienced junior staff. This “hands-on” approach is essential to ensuring a successful outcome.

For each assignment, Su Yon casts a wide net which uncovers people often not considered by others and always includes those from diverse and varied backgrounds.
We intentionally maintain a low number of engagements at any one time, focusing on a select number of non-competing search mandates, ensuring that each client receives the highest level of focus and attention throughout the process.
